Ratanakiri Kayaking
5 days: Phnom Penh - Ratanakiri - Phnom Penh
A 2-day kayaking trip along Ratanakiri's remote Tonle San River, passing through jungles and tribal regions and including visits to different ethnic minority villages and a hike to a jungle waterfall. Camping overnight on the banks of the river.

Note: The kayak trip alone can be done in 2 days from Banlung.
Day 1 Travel by private taxi to the provincial riverside town of Kratie for lunch, then to the Dolphin pools at Kampi to see the best spot for seeing Irrawaddy Freshwater Dolphins. After a boat trip to see the dolphins, continue on to Ratanakiri.
Day 2 Travel by four-wheel drive to Ta Veng town on the banks of the Tonle San River. From there begin kayaking down river, stopping along the way to visit tribal villages along the way. Total kayaking time approx. 5 hours.
Day 3 Continue kayaking down river, stopping for a hike into the jungle to a waterfall where you can enjoy a swim. After lunch, continue down river to different tribal villages, including Tampuon and Kraveth minorities before getting picked up by car and returning to Banlung in the evening. Total kayaking time approx. 5 hours.
Day 4 Enjoy a free morning to explore Banlung and the provincial trade market, then visit Yak Lom Crater Lake in the afternoon for a short jungle walk and swimming.
Day 5 Return to Phnom Penh by private car.
