CAMBODIA HIGHLIGHTS TRIP
This trip explores the highlights of Cambodia including trekking in the Northeast tribal region of Ratanakiri, a tour of Phnom Penh and its sights by tuk-tuk, an Angkor Wat tour with a specialist guide, a boat trip on the great Tonle Sap Lake and snorkeling at Cambodia's pristine islands. The trip ends with a relaxing day at the beach in Sihanoukville. Day 1 Arrive in Phnom Penh. Transfer from the airport to your hotel by taxi. Overnight in Phnom Penh at a comfortable riverside hotel.
Day 2 Enjoy a private tour of Phnom Penh by tuk-tuk, visiting Wat Phnom Temple, Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeng Ek Killing Fields outside of Phnom Penh. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.
Day 3 Depart in the morning by boat to Siem Reap via the Tonle Sap Lake. Stay in a comfortable hotel with a swimming pool in central Siem Reap.
Day 4 Full day tuk-tuk tour of the temples with a specialist guide, exploring Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Terraces of Elephants and Leper King, Death Gate and Victory Gate and Ta Prohm. Overnight at hotel with swimming pool.
Day 5 Enjoy a free day in Siem Reap to explore the old market, museums or any other sites (trip to the River of a Thousand Lingas and Banteay Srei available if requested). Overnight at hotel with swimming pool.
Day 6 Travel by car directly to Kratie, a quiet riverside provincial town on the banks of the Mekong. Enjoy a relaxing evening and sunset over the Mekong at a riverside hotel.
Day 7 Depart by car in the morning to Ratanakiri. In the afternoon, visit Yak Lom Crater Lake for a swim and a scenic jungle walk. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.
Day 8 Depart in the morning by car to the Cha Ong Waterfalls where you will begin a two day trek through the hills and primary forests of Ratanakiri. Overnight at a jungle camp by a river.
Day 9 Continue through the jungles and tribal villages along a different route, returning to Banlung by car in the evening. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.
Day 10 Explore Banlung and the tribal markets in the morning, then leave by private car to Kompong Cham, a riverside provincial capital. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.
Day 11 Travel by private car directly to Sihanoukville, Cambodia's premier beach town. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool by the beach.
Day 12 Leave by boat in the morning for a full day trip to the islands off Cambodia's coast. Enjoy exploring the islands and relaxing on the beaches and snorkeling (scuba diving available if requested). Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool by the beach.
Day 13 Enjoy a free day in Sihanoukville to relax on the beach or explore town. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool by the beach.
Day 14 Transfer to private car directly to Phnom Penh International Airport or to your onward destination.
