Day 1 Arrive in Phnom Penh. Transfer from the airport to your hotel by taxi. Overnight in Phnom Penh at a comfortable riverside hotel.
Day 2 Depart Phnom Penh by private car to directly to Stung Treng. Overnight at a scenic nature lodge.
Day 3 Travel North along the Mekong to the village of O Sway near the Lao border and begin a full-day kayaking trip down river through remote flooded forests of Cambodia's amazing Ramsar Wetlands. Many varieties of birds live in these forests. Picnic lunch en route provided. Return to Stung Treng accommodations in the evening.
Day 4 Depart Stung Treng by mountain bike along a scenic river route heading south through villages and forests, then begin kayaking down the Mekong, stopping en route at sandy river islands and viewing rare freshwater irrawaddy dolphins before enjoying a riverside picnic lunch. Transfer the remaining distance by car to Kratie town. Overnight at a riverside hotel.
Day 5 Depart by private car directly to Siem Reap, stopping en route at the town of Skoun, famous for its fried tarantulas. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool in Siem Reap.
Day 6 Explore the main temples of Angkor Archeological Park by tuk-tuk with a specialist guide, including Angkor Wat, Bayon, the Terraces of Elephants and the Leper King and Ta Prohm. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool.
Day 7 Go on a full day tour by car to the outer temples of the Angkor Archeological Park, including the pink sandstone Banteay Srei or Citadel of Women, overgrown Preah Khan Temple and a 2-mile jungle hike up a mountain to Kbal Spean, the "River of a Thousand Lingas." Overnight at hotel with swimming pool.
Day 8 Depart by boat on the Tonle Sap to Battambang, passing floating villages and scenic lake and river views along the way. Overnight at a comfortable Battambang hotel.
Day 9 Visit the sites of Battambang province including Phnom Sompeo, a limestone mountain with caves and Wat Banan, an ancient hilltop temple with great views. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.
Day 10 Travel by private car directly to Phnom Penh. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.
Day 11 City tour by tuk-tuk. Visit sites in and around Phnom Penh including the Choeng Ek Killing Fields Memorial, the Russian Market, Wat Phnom and the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.
Day 12 Enjoy a free day in Phnom Penh. In the evening board a cruise boat for a leisurely sunset dinner cruise. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.
Day 13 Transfer by private car directly to Phnom Penh International Airport or onward destination.
