CAMBODIA CIRCUIT TRIP

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Phnom Penh. Transfer from the airport to your hotel by taxi. Overnight in Phnom Penh at a comfortable riverside hotel.

Day 2 Enjoy a city tour by tuk-tuk. Visit sites in and around Phnom Penh including the Choeng Ek Killing Fields Memorial, the Russian Market, Wat Phnom and the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.

Day 3 Depart in the morning by private car to the ancient mountain temple of Phnom Chisor and continue via a scenic route to the caves and limestone formations at Kompong Trach before arriving in the colonial seaside town of Kep. Enjoy a seafood dinner and sleep overnight in a comfortable hotel at the beach.

Day 4 Begin the day with a two-hour hike in the mountains with great views of Kep and the coast. Leave for Kampot town in the afternoon. Enjoy the evening exploring Kampot, a small colonial riverside town nestled between the coast and the mountains. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel in Kampot.

Day 5 Leave in the morning along a scenic coastal highway to Sihanoukville town. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore Sihanoukville or relax on the beach. Overnight at a comfortable beachside hotel with swimming pool.

Day 6 Leave by boat in the morning for a full day snorkeling and diving trip to the islands off Cambodia's coast. Visit the best dive sites of Koh Rung Somloem and Koh Kon. Enjoy exploring the islands and relaxing on the beaches. Trip includes two 50-minute dives and snorkeling. Overnight at a comfortable beachside hotel with swimming pool.

Day 6 Tour the many beaches and town of Sihanoukville with a private tour by tuk-tuk. Overnight at a comfortable beachside hotel with swimming pool.

Day 7 Leave in the early afternoon by car directly to Kompong Cham, a charming riverside provincial town on the banks of the Mekong. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your Kompong Cham riverside hotel.

Day 8 Depart by car in the morning to Ratanakiri. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.

Day 9 Depart on a 2-day trek through the jungle and hill tribe villages with diverse landscape. Overnight at jungle camp.

Day 10 Hike through the hills and primary forests via a different route before emerging from the jungle and transfering by car back to Banlung. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.

Day 11 Travel by car to Yak Lom Crater Lake. Walk the forested path around the lake (2.5 km) and enjoy swimming in the clear water. In the afternoon, depart for Stung Treng, a provincial town at the confluence of the Sekong and Mekong Rivers. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.

Day 12 Leave Stung Treng on Mountain Bike South (7:30 AM departure) along the river to Koh Preah, a large Mekong island. Kayak from Koh Preah and right from the start there will be a good chance to see Irrawaddy Dolphins. Stop at a sandy riverbank for a BBQ lunch (provided) before continuing to Koh Khnear where a car will be waiting to continue the journey to Kratie town. Overnight at a riverside hotel in Kratie.

Day 13 Depart in the morning by private car to Siem Reap via the town of Skoun, famous for its fried tarantulas. Stay in a comfortable hotel with a swimming pool in central Siem Reap.

Day 14 Enjoy a full day tuk-tuk tour of the temples, exploring Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Phnom Bakheng, Terraces of Elephants and Leper King, Death Gate and Victory Gate and Ta Prohm. Overnight at hotel with swimming pool.

Day 15 Go on a full day tour by car to the outer temples of the Angkor Archeological Park, including the pink sandstone Banteay Srei or Citadel of Women, overgrown Preah Khan Temple and a 2-mile jungle hike up a mountain to Kbal Spean, the "River of a Thousand Lingas." Overnight at hotel with swimming pool.

Day 16 Enjoy a free morning in Siem Reap to explore. In the afternoon, visit the Western Baray, an ancient resevoir and the West Mebon temple located on an island in the center which can only be reached by boat. Spend the evening enjoying an all-you-can-eat buffet and classical dance performance. Overnight at hotel with swimming pool.

Day 17 Depart by boat on the Tonle Sap to Battambang, passing floating villages and scenic lake and river views along the way. Overnight at a comfortable Battambang hotel.

Day 18 Visit the sites of Battambang province including Phnom Sompeo, a limestone mountain with caves and Wat Banan, an ancient hilltop temple with great views. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.

Day 19 Enjoy a free day in Battambang and enjoy the nearby countryside with rented bicycles. Overnight at a comfortable hotel.

Day 20 Travel by private car directly to Phnom Penh. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.

Day 21 Spend a half-day visiting the markets of Phnom Penh by tuk-tuk including the Central Market and the Russian Market. Enjoy a free afternoon in Phnom Penh. In the evening board a cruise boat for a leisurely sunset dinner cruise. Overnight at a comfortable riverside hotel.

Day 22 Transfer to airport or onward location by taxi.
