DIRTBIKING, TEMPLES AND DIVING TRIP

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Phnom Penh. Transfer from the airport to your hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh at a comfortable riverside hotel.

Day 2 Enjoy a private tour of Phnom Penh by tuk-tuk, visiting Phnom Penh's historic Royal Palace, Wat Phnom Temple, Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeng Ek Killing Fields outside of Phnom Penh or other sites if requested.

Day 3 Depart Phnom Penh with your bike by ferry boat across the Mekong, then travel north along a quiet dirt road following the river to Kompong Cham, stopping en route to visit the twin mountain temples of Kompong Cham province. Overnight at a riverside hotel in Kompong Cham town.

Day 4 Depart Kompong Cham early via a small dirt road crossing through French era rubber plantations and then on to Sombor Prei Kuk, a complex of over 100 pre-Angkorian temples hidden in dense forest. After exploring the site, continue along the trail north to Tbeng Meanchey town where you will sleep the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 5 Depart Tbeng Meachey along dirt roads to the remote pyramid temple of Koh Ker. After exploring, continue on to Preah Vihear, one of Cambodia's most impressive temples located on the edge of a cliff face. Overnight at a simple guesthouse at the base of the mountain.

Day 6 Continue along the southern base of the Dangrek Escarpment to Anlong Veng town, the former Khmer Rouge stronghold. Enjoy lunch in town and visit the Ta Mok villa before continuing south to Siem Reap. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool.

Day 7 Depart early on bike to the pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei, then hike 45 minutes along a jungle-clad mountain path to the River of a Thousand Lingas, Kbal Spean, where a clear stream ripples through ancient carvings before dropping in a pretty waterfall. Return to Siem Reap for a late lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the town. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool.

Day 8 Explore the main temples of Angkor Archeological Park by tuk-tuk with a specialist guide, including Angkor Wat, Bayon, the Terraces of Elephants and the Leper King and Ta Prohm. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool.

Day 9 Return to Phnom Penh by Boat via the Tonle Sap Lake (the bikes will be shipped). Overnight in Phnom Penh at a comfortable riverside hotel.

Day 10 Depart by private car to the waterfalls of Kbal Chhay in the mountains above Sihanoukville. After a picnic lunch at the falls, continue to Sihanoukville, Cambodia's premier beach town for a relaxing afternoon at the beach. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool by the beach.

Day 11 Depart for a 2-day liveaboard diving or snorkeling trip to Cambodia's scenic islands on board a comfortable 2-deck boat. Explore deserted beaches and islands. Trip includes all meals and equipment (5 dives if you take scuba option and unlimited snorkeling).

Day 12 Continue with diving/snorkeling trip. Return to Sihanoukville in the evening. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool by the beach.

Day 13 Free day to explore town and the many beaches of Sihanoukville. All day tuk-tuk transportation provided. Overnight at a comfortable hotel with swimming pool by the beach.

Day 14 Depart by private car directly to the Phnom Penh International Airport or to you onward destination.
